Felix served as the General Contractor for the construction of a new Lift Station and force main for The City of Farmers Branch. Our scope included 12-foot diameter, 40-foot deep CIP Wet Well, precast valve vault, electrical building with a backup generator, civil upgrades and 1,500 linear feet of force main.
With the growth within the City of Farmers Branch expanding in underdeveloped areas the city had the need for additional infrastructure. To stay ahead of the development this project was placed on a expedited schedule during the months that experienced the most severe weather conditions.
The force main was constructed under two separate creeks and a railroad track. To complete the installation of the force main Felix built a cofferdam to go under one of the creeks and had to perform a 600 linear feet bore under the railroad. Even with weather complications that prevented work from being performed, Felix was able to complete the project prior to the development needing the lift station to be operational.
