Our History &
How We Got Here

Felix Construction was founded in February 1987 by Don and Renee Felix with just four employees: Don, Renee, Joel, and Kevin Felix. What started as a small operation quickly became a trusted name in water infrastructure construction. In 2011, ownership transitioned to David Giannetto, Joel Felix, Kevin Felix, and Matt Phillips, who guided the company through more than a decade of strategic growth, expanding to over 300 employees, generating $200 million in annual revenue, and establishing operations across Arizona and Texas.

As the ownership group looked toward the future and succession planning, they were committed to preserving the values that made Felix special. They chose a path honoring the company’s culture and people: employee ownership. In February 2025, Felix Construction proudly became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, ensuring that every team member shares in the success they help build.
