Forestar Moonlight Lift Station
A 4” MAG flow meter with telemetry control, and a 4-inch swing check valve, Felix Construction was selected to construct a state-of-the-art lift station and sewer force main for the new Forestar Moonlight Ridge Community. This project began with an extensive excavation to accommodate two wet wells, a diversion structure, and an auto screen structure. The use of high-quality precast concrete for the wet wells and diversion components ensured stability and durability. The auto screen structure required a unique cast-in-place base and lid due to the specific weight and design of its assembly. Key features of the lift station include control and instrumentation panels secured on a concrete pad sheltered by a shade structure, along with a standby generator and robust 50hp submersible pumps. To enhance safety and accessibility, the site will be fortified with an 8-foot masonry wall and a rolling access gate. An essential aspect of our project is the odor control system, which will effectively manage emissions through a dedicated concrete pad housing both the odor control tank and adsorber tank. Additionally, the installation of the auto screen on the influent line will eliminate large solids, safeguarding our submersible pumps and wastewater treatment equipment. The force main consists of a 4” Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP), complete with bends, essential fixtures, ensuring a reliable and efficient wastewater management system.
