Greenway WTP On-Site Disinfection System

This project at the Greenway Water Treatment Plant involves the complete replacement of the existing gaseous chlorine disinfection system with a new on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system. Work includes the demolition and removal of the current gaseous chlorine system and associated scrubber, followed by the installation of a modern, safer disinfection system within the existing Disinfection Building.

The new system includes sodium hypochlorite generation cells, a transformer rectifier, and a hydrogen dilution system, along with all necessary supporting equipment. Key components also include a control cabinet with PLC, VFDs, and networking communication components, as well as water softeners, cartridge filters, a brine tank, and sodium hypochlorite storage and metering systems. Additional equipment includes an acid cleaning system, dilution panel, and a water chiller to support optimal system performance.

The scope also includes PLC programming and integration to ensure efficient and automated operation of the new system.
