Well 26 and Bullard Water Campus RO Facility Upgrades

This project consisted of drilling and equipping of a new potable water well, upgrades to their existing reverse osmosis treatment plant, and installation of 6100 LF of 16” HDPE transmission line from the new well to the treatment facility, which includes a diagonal directional drill under both Yuma Road and the Bullard Wash. As the design-builder, Felix was involved at the inception of the project before site selection of the new well was finalized. Felix assisted the City with cost and engineering evaluations in conjunction with our design partner, Hazen and Sawyer. The team utilized a phased approach to construction. The RO facility was already a City-owned facility, so Felix was able to expedite the improvements to the RO treatment while plan reviews were completed on the well and pipeline. Various pipe material options were evaluated based on construction cost and lifespan. HDPE was selected as the pipe material for the transmission main.
